Visiting Copenhagen
Although technically the largest city in Scandinavia, Copenhagen is actually one of Europes smallest capitals. Which is what makes it wonderful! We live in Østerbro, the most easterly suberb, and we work in Frederiksberg, to the west, but we can cycle there (and pretty well everywhere else around the ciy) in 20 minutes. Copenhagen is cycle friendly, there are cycle lanes everywhere and more than 40% of Copenhageners use the bike as their main form of transport. The public transport is excellent, the shops include most of the top designer brands as well as two large Department stores (Illum and Magasin) and there is lots to do even without visiting either The Little Mermaid (you have to do it, but there is a clue in the name) or Tivoli (supposedly the inspiration for Disney). Everyone speaks English, but no one holds the door open for you (you soon get used to it!). Danes are the happiest people in the world (official!), so enjoy the happiness, enjoy the city!
