Yagmur Yagdarin, an Iranian PhD student
studying at SLU, will visit several times during the next few weeks as we continue our collaborative research concerned with the transfer of drugs into milk during mastitis.
Project students join our Welfare Biomarkers group.
Veterinary student Karina will focus on "rescue" dogs, whilst Animal Science students Helene and Cicelie have chosen big cats, in the wild and in captivity. we now have nine students working on welfare biomarker projects.
FeedNess through to second stage of
We are a partner in FeedNess, a funding proposal submitted to H2020, which has now progressed to Full Proposal stage
New research proposal would use robots to improve dairy cow welfare.
An international consortium lead
by FAB have applied for ANHIWA ERA Net funding to develop robots that can take samples of hair, saliva and sweat for stress biomarker analysis. The group includes three Danish Universities: Copenhagen, DTU and Aarhus
Illinois student to research why
obesity increases the chances of lactation failure.
Haley Johnson, a student from ACES, the animal science programme at Illinois University, will spend 6 months in our lab during 2014.
DairyCare COST Action
The kick-off meeting of DairyCare was held in Brussels on the 21st March. Delegates from 22 EU countries took part. Prof Chris Knight was elected as Chair of the Action, and it was agreed that the first scientific meeting would be held here at UCPH in August.
